Just like you get homesick, I got homesick too.
But it wasn't a country I was born.
Hi, I'm
Minami
Born in Japan, lived in Bangkok, Thailand until I was 3 years old. Since 6 years old through entering middle school I was raised in the United States. Junior and High school, I spent my puberty and until college inTokyo, Japan.
Because of these multi-cultural experiences, I always looked out for my "identity." Who, what and where I belong? Which language should I represent myself? Or, which country should I label myself to feel confident enough for myself?
Reflecting from these self-doubts, and conflicts I always wished there were something...almost like a universal code that can be shared equally and borderlessly with anyone.
My whole journey and the reason to become a visual artist, writer and sometimes a contributor.
